Here are Fox On The Sley's Services, which range from Textiles for different outputs, uses and experiences or more of a fine art craft approach. He also has woven textiles design and technical skills.
Architectural Textiles
This Textiles is self-folding or 3D woven textiles that can act as room dividers, curtains, installations etc. Using paper yarns to create breathable, light textiles, which plays around with light and space. Either embracing the light/sound or blocking it.
These textiles look at seamlessly blending into their surrounds or enhancing the space and architecture which it is made for.
Interior and Accessories
Woven Textiles for interiors or accessories that play around with motifs, pattern and colour. Using paper, cotton, wool and more yarns to achieve different effects. Whether that be for comfort, light, or to make a statement.
Art and Installations
Fox on the Sley combines traditional fine art methods with textiles and craft concepts and outcomes, ranging from sculptures, series or large scale hangings/installations. Focused on themes of Textile Heritage, Memory, Architecture, and Social History of Mill Workers and People.
Woven Textile Design and Technical Support
David Fox has four years of weaving experience, and is the Textile Technician for Bradford College since January 2024. His knowledge and experience is in double cloth woven textiles on his George Wood Loom. He has experience with George Wood, Table, TC2, Louet and Arm Looms.
